At The Community for Education, we believe schools are more than classrooms, they are the heartbeat of thriving neighborhoods. Our mission includes supporting the creation of high-quality, community-centered schools that serve as anchors in housing redevelopment efforts, ensuring that families not only have homes, but also strong educational pathways and community stability. We are inspired by schools that are nationally recognized, where they were designed as the centerpiece of housing revitalization, leading to generational impact. We are committed to exploring similar opportunities across Atlanta, partnering with housing authorities, developers, and community leaders to reimagine education at the core of redevelopment.
Project Teach ON Initiative is an initiative dedicated to supporting current K-12 teachers by providing funding to create positive, creative, and safe learning environments for their students. According to the National Education Association, on average teachers spend between $300-$750 of their personal money, a year to purchase school supplies. This amount is also not a reflection of the amount of money they invest into classroom decorations, snacks, and other items necessary to producing a classroom effective for learning. That is why The Community for Education’s Project Teach ON Initiative will provide financial assistance in the amount of $500 to one elementary, middle, and high school teacher, each academic school year. It is our belief that by supporting teachers in this way, our impact will also reach their students. Thus, it is imperative that we not only create, but implement this initiative to touch the lives of so many.
The Future Educators Initiative is our commitment to building the next generation of teachers by supporting college students pursuing education degrees. Through scholarships, mentorship, and professional development, we help aspiring educators overcome barriers and prepare to make a lasting impact in the classroom. By investing in future teachers, we are shaping stronger schools and brighter futures for every student. This initiative not only empowers students to achieve their dreams but also strengthens the entire education system. Together, we are creating a sustainable pipeline of educators who will inspire and lead generations to come. Not only will the program provide scholarships for individuals in teacher preparation programs, but will also provide professional development, and support ensuring that we are contributing to the future of education.
The Community for Education believes in supporting students who have shown commitment to their studies and are pursuing post-secondary or advanced degrees to further their personal and professional development. Hence, our organization would like to support students with a book scholarship, to lighten the financial investment that higher education could have on them. Student receiving this scholarship can pursue any major/program and attend any 4 year university. Our commitment to the education community supports all areas of the education journey, especially higher education.

We provide sessions that help organizations recognize patterns in thinking and behavior that may affect relationships, communication, and outcomes. Participants develop strategies for clearer decision-making, stronger collaboration, and healthier workplace dynamics.

Our workshops help educators and leaders design learning experiences that reflect the strengths, needs, and backgrounds of the people they serve. The focus is on building authentic connections, increasing engagement, and fostering environments where every learner feels supported in reaching their full potential.

We offer professional learning that equips participants with tools to examine policies and practices that may unintentionally create barriers. Together, we explore ways to strengthen fairness, expand opportunity, and ensure that systems work effectively for everyone.
